On 29th July 2016, the Department of Journalism and Communication at Makerere University was awash with news of the promotion of Assoc. Professor Goretti Nassanga to full Professor. This highly dedicated member of staff started off as a Lecturer and has since grown through the ranks to take up the top most coveted position in academia.
