Mature Age Entry Scheme Examinations (2018/2019)

The Academic Registrar, Makerere University, announces that the Mature Age Entry Scheme examinations for the academic year 2018/2019 entry will be held on Saturday 16th December, 2017.

To be eligible for the Mature Age Entry Examinations, the candidate must be at least 25 years old before 1st August, 2018.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Administration), Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe has appealed to Makerere University staff to be principled and result oriented.

Prof. Nawangwe was on Thursday (13th July, 2017) speaking to a congregation at Makerere University Guest House during the farewell party of Mrs. Mary K. Tizikara, the former Director Human Resources.

Please note that First Year privately sponsored students must pay 60% tuition and all functional fees using provisional admission letters before picking their original copies.

Over time, it has been realized that the citizens’ negative mindsets are some of the key national constraints to development and social transformation. Consequently, the Ministry of Education and Sports signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Youth Fellowship (IYF) to focus on creating a system which delivers a radiant mindset and competencies amongst the labor force, responsive to the demands of the country.

Launching the 3rd Edition of the World University Netball Championship on Tuesday 1st August 2017, the Minister of State for Sports, Hon. Charles Bakkabulindi said: “I salute the people who won the bid. This is a national issue. Hosting the Netball Championships presents a lot of opportunities to Uganda and Makerere University. It reminds me of the benefits when Uganda hosted CHOGM.”
